Manager: Mladen Milotić

Gallery “Milotić” opened its doors in 2001 on Kapitolinski Square in the old town nucleus of Pula as the gallery of the author Mladen Milotić. That same year, it extended its activity and started exhibiting works of a large number of authors. At the beginning of 2008, the gallery moved to a much larger space with total surface of 470 square metres.

The Gallery insists on quality of listed works, simultaneously advocating a diversity of figurative media and authors. It currently features works of 110 authors from Pula, Istria, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Italy.

In 2003, the Gallery established its Arts Council with the following members: professor academic painter Martin Bizjak, academic painter Fulvio Juričić, art historian Argeo Curto, art historian Gordana Trajković, and painter and Gallery manager Mladen Milotić. Aimed at Gallery’s socially useful activity, the Council has developed a programme featuring monthly solo exhibitions of Istrian authors, so that the annual Gallery programme comprises presentations of four authors of older generation – classics of Istrian painting, recent works of four authors belonging to mid-generation and presentation of four authors of younger generation. The end of the year traditionally belongs to New Year’s group exhibition, as ex tempore painting.

The objective of such programme is dedicating deserved attention to authors of older generation, with priority given to authors who have not exhibited in Pula over a long period, presentation of authors of mid-generation and providing the authors of the youngest generation with an opportunity of presenting their works.

The Arts Council of Gallery “Milotić” has proposed the following solo exhibitions in 2008: Karlo Paliska, Ivan Obrovac, Martin Bizjak, Renato Percan, Marina Banić, Silvo Šarić, Ksenija Tomičić, Sanja Švrljuga, Nataša Bezić, Tea Bičić, Iva Gašparić and Korana Lukić.
